Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha is doing pioneering work in the field of education in rural Maharashtra by establishing Padmabhushan Vasantraodada Patil College. The principle of ‘Education for All’ played a vital role in the development of the students of this college. The educational philosophy of Aanandraodada Shinde was based on self reliance, self respect, self study, and equality. We have been following this philosophy rigorously in this college. Our College has been continuously struggling for the cause of common masses. We have created a band of selfless and devoted teachers and students. Our system of education strives for the principles like the dignity of labor and creation of casteless and classless society.

In India, the urban elite's grip on history and culture has been more entrenched because here the subordinate majority was for centuries denied access to education under Shastric injunctions. Under such a repressive system, the elite stifled all cultural expression and creativity of the underprivileged. The rural non-elites who tried to overcome the system were brutally suppressed. The visionary leaders like Jotirao Phule, Rajarshee Shahu, and Ambedkar stressed the need to construct new paradigms of history and culture, but it was not possible without knowledge and education. Without education, it was impossible to achieve the solidarity of the oppressed against their tormentors. In India, this tradition is to be found in the great civilizing and humanizing work of the Buddha. This creative and anti-hierarchical legacy was carried forward in modern India by Phule, Periyar, Shahu, Ambedkar, Gandhi, etc. Aanandrao Dada Shinde is one who contributed to this legacy by establishing Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha at Kavathe Mahankal with the motto: ‘Sammadittheesamadan’. Padmabhushan Vasantraodada Patil College caters to the demand for education, cultural expression, and creativity of the underprivileged.
